Culinary Gangsters – Cateringia suurella sydämellä

On aika esitellä upeaakin upeampi partnerimme Culinary Gangsters!

Culinary Gangsters on yhteisö, jossa yhdistyy rakkaus ja intohimo hyvään ruokaan sekä hyväntekemiseen. Ammattilaiskokeista, päihdekuntoutujista sekä tavan kansalaisista koostuva tiivis kaveriporukka sai idean aluilleen Thaimaan pienellä paratiisisaarella nimeltään Koh Tao. Ajatus hyvän tekemisestä, pyyteettömästä auttamisesta sekä ikimuistoisten kokemuksien luomisesta eskaloitui sittemmin Suomeen palatessa, hyväntekeväisyyden olleen vahvasti mukana alusta alkaen, ja nykyään kansainvälinen porukka keikkaileekin cateringin merkeissä ympäri Suomea.

Gangsterit ovat saattaneet maaliin esimerkiksi päihde- ja rikosalan hyväntekeväisyysjärjestöjen tapahtumia, valokuvanäyttelyiden avajaisia sekä mainostoimistojen asiakastilaisuuksia. Myös nuorten hyvinvointi on lähellä sydäntä, ja siitä hieno esimerkki löytyykin viime elokuulta, jolloin aktiivinen päivä WKND-festivaalien läheisyydessä olleen ruokakojun lisäksi huipentui yhteistyökumppaneiden avulla järjestettyyn hyväntekeväisyystempaukseen ajanvieton, grillaamisen sekä Linnanmäen reissun merkeissä helsinkiläisen lastenkodin kanssa. Ryhmä onkin tuttu näky festareilta ja esimerkiksi Jokelan Närkästysjuhlilla 2018 Gangsterit hoitivat esiintyjien ja talkooväen muonituksen.

Föörin pop-up ravintolan toiminnasta Gangsterit kiinnostuivat heti ja tarjoutuivat itse tulemaan mukaan toteuttamaan hyväntekeväisyystempausta. Yhdessä tiimin kanssa he loihtivatkin vastustamattoman herkullisen ja jokaiselle lompakolle sopivan ruokalistan, joka julkistettiin viime viikolla.

Kokemusta Gangstereille on kahden vuoden aikana kertynyt jo lähes 60 catering-keikan verran, joista suurin osa on tehty erilaisille järjestöille. Suurisydämiset jäsenet mainitsevat työn olevan mahdollisuus luoda parempaa huomista ja tapa antaa takaisin – osallistua ja olla läsnä.

Ryhmä on herättänyt laajalti kiinnostusta ja työtahti on tiuha. Myös sosiaalisessa mediassa he levittävät hymyä päivään erilaisten hauskojen postausten ja tempausten avulla. Huumorilla varustettuja hyväntekijöitä seuraakin jo pelkästään sosiaalisen median kautta yli tuhat henkilöä.

Nykyään tämän taidokkaan porukan toiminta on laajentunut myös tavallisiin catering-keikkoihin, joka luo entistä paremmat mahdollisuudet tehdä hyväntekeväisyyskeikkojakin. Gangsterit voit bookata erilaisiin tapahtumiin, kuten häihin, hautajaisiin tai vaikkapa nyt meneillä olevaan kauteen sopivasti pikkujouluihin. Kuten Gagsterit itsekin tituleeraavat: ”Se mikä gangstereilta ei hoidu, jää hoitamatta”. Tämä tiimi nimittäin hoitaa niin isot kuin pienetkin haasteet vakaalla ammattitaidolla ja hyvässä hengessä.

It’s time to introduce our magnificent partner – the Culinary Gangsters!

Culinary Gangsters is a community, which brings together love, passion for good food and the act of giving. The journey of this group of close friends, which consists of professional chefs, former drug rehabilitators and normal citizens, has started from a small paradise island called Koh Tao in Southern Thailand. What started as an idea, subsequently escalated through their inspiration of doing gratuitous helping, charity and creating unforgettable experiences. Nowadays this international group is mostly operating all over in Finland.

The experience that Gangsters have gained in the past two years has already risen up to almost 60 catering gigs for various organizations. The good-hearted members mention their job being an aspiration to create a better tomorrow and a way to give back to the world – to participate and to be present.

The group has featured in various charity events, from non-profit organisations for crime and drug abuse prevention to gallery openings and advertising agencies’ events. Well-being of the youth is also close at heart for them, and a great example comes from an active day, when the group held food catering near the WKND festival last August. In co-operation with rap artist Dilemma and other partners, the brilliant day culminated to recreation, BBQ and visiting Linnanmäki amusement park together with the kids. Gangsters are also very known from the festival scene - for example taking care of the food supplies of artists and volunteers during the Jokelan Närkästysjuhlat 2018 last summer.

Upon hearing about our pop-up restaurant for charity, the Gangsters were immediately interested and offering their help in organising the event. Last week we released the irresistibly delicious and affordable menu, which the culinary team had created for us.

The group has attracted a lot of interest and currently they’re working with a very packed schedule. The Gangsters are putting a smile on people’s faces, not just during the events, but through their social media accounts as well. These goodhearted and humorous philanthropists already have more than a thousand followers on their social media accounts.

Nowadays this skilled team of professional chefs is also doing paid catering gigs, which in return enables their pro-bono charity work. You can book the Culinary Gangsters team to cater for various events, such as weddings, funerals, or even Christmas parties. Like the Gagsters themselves say, "Anything the Gangsters couldn’t handle, would be left undone". This team will handle any challenge, big or small, with professional pride and the right attitude.
